DR. KEITH L. Moore MSc, PhD, FIAC, FSRM was President of the AACA (American Association of Clinical Anatomy) between 1989 and 1991. He became popullary known for his literature on the subjects of Anatomy and Embryology with dozens of positions and honors in science.
He wrote a joint professor Arthur F. Dalley II, Clinically Oriented Anatomy, which was the most popular English literature and became a worldwide medical grip. This book was also used by scientists, doctors, physiotherapists and students worldwide.
At one time, there was a group of students who showed reference Koran on ‘The Creation of Man’ to Professor Keith L Moore, then the professor saw it and said:
“No way this verse was written in the 7th, because of what is contained in these verses is a scientific fact that was discovered by modern science! It is nonsense, Muhammad should’ve certainly a microscope!”
The student then said, “Professor, at that time the microscope did not exist yet?”
“Yes, yes I know. I’m just kidding, it was not Muhammad who authored verse like this,” said the professor.

“Then We made the semen (stored) in a solid (womb). Then semen We made alaqoh (something attached), then something inherent We made a lump of meat, and a piece of meat that we made the bones, and the bones of it We wrap with bacon. Then We made creature (form of) others. Blessed is He the Creator of the most good, “[QS. Al the Faithful: 13-14]
If the look deeper, actually ‘alaqoh’ in the etymological sense commonly translated as ‘blood clot’ also means ‘blood suckers’, namely leech.
Though there is no more appropriate example when the embryo is at that stage, ie 7-24 days, in addition to like a leech attached and hanging skin.
The embryo was like sucking blood from the uterus wall, because it is so actually happened, embryos were fed through the bloodstream. It was exactly like a leech that sucks blood. Fetus, too, is the food source of the nutrients contained in the mother’s blood.
Miraculously, Embryo Fetus in that stage if in the view with a microscope shape is really like a leech. And that is not possible if Muhammad owned knowledge so great about fetal form that resembles a leech and then wrote it in a book.
In fact, at that time microscope and lens had not been discovered yet. Obviously it is the knowledge of God, the revelation of Allah, the Knower of all Things.
This verse is exactly what made the professor finally converted to Islam and revised some scientific study because of the Quran appeared to have answered some sections that had made the professor upset. He felt the material examined during this time was not complete or there stages of embryo development are lacking. []
